At the heart of every Surgimedics smoke evacuator system is a sophisticated, powerful ultra low penetration air filter made exclusively for use with our products. Designed to filter out toxic chemicals and pathogens utilizing filter media that is rated an efficiency rating of 99.995%.

Surgimedics ULPA filters are the perfect complement to the high flow rates and large capture capacity of our SurgiFresh Turbo evacuator. Our ULPA filters use a special three-tier technology to filter out contaminants by inertial impaction, interception and diffusion. Additionally, all filters have been designed to hold unpleasant odors, making them ideal for use in environments – such as laser hair clinics – where lingering smells can be a frustrating problem.

We offer 2 distinct ULPA filters at different price points to meet the needs and budgets of a variety of practitioners:

• Protection Plus ULPA filter: The Protection Plus ULPA filter is our top-tier offering, delivering highly efficient removal of gases, odors, bacteria, viruses and other particulates associated with laser plume from electrosurgical operations. For maximum odor control, the Protection Plus filter contains specially blended active carbon mixture.
• ULPA Smoke filter: Another, more economical option for moderating electrosurgical smoke plumes is our ULPA Smoke filter. Incorporating grade-2 ULPA media, the Smoke filter offers a low cost per procedure while filtering toxic particulate and eliminating organic odors.
