Construction

With a working length of 23 cm, the catheter can be adapted for a wide range of laparoscopic imaging purposes. The Coastal Life Systems cholangiography catheter features an angled tip for easy insertion and alignment, uniform clamping to reduce the risk of leakage and accidental removal, and a grooved handle that provides superior control throughout the procedure. The rigid catheter tube is an oval shape, as opposed to round, in order to provide leak proof ligation.

Insertions

The Coastal Life Systems cholangiography catheter is a size four on the French Catheter Scale, meaning it has an outside diameter of 1.33 mm. The catheter can be inserted using a 5 mm trocar or a 14 gauge Angiocath™ device. Because of its small size, the catheter is ideal for use in laparoscopy and other minimally invasive procedures where accessibility is essential.
